The Grade II listed, old Bury St Edmunds workhouse at College Street was on the at-risk register prior to our extensive refurbishment project, which saw the creation of four private homes. Thanks to careful restoration we managed to retain many original details, maintaining the aesthetics of the landmark building. A front wall was constructed using salvaged material, while new cellars were created under two of the houses, to provide extra living accommodation, and attics were created under the eaves.
